US Apparent Steel Consumption Set to Surge
Over the last few years, apparent steel consumption in the United States is witnessing positive growth. Moreover, with improving demand from various industrial sectors and favorable government support, it is expected that steel consumption will improve in the coming years. Further, the government stimulus package will also support the apparent steel consumption in the country as various federal infrastructure and construction projects are currently in pipeline, triggering steel demand. Backed by all these factors, the US is anticipated to raise its apparent steel consumption, which is projected to grow at a CAGR of around 6% during 2012-2015.
